“OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE LARGER THAN THEY APPEAR”
(STILL A HEAD CASE!)
So, I’ve been obsessed with Einstein’s Relatively Theory since the summer, just past.
To summarize this concept, I’ma paraphrase the actual quote from The Man, Himself, from my memory banks, as best I can:
“When you’re having lunch with a beautiful girl, two hours can feel like two minutes. But if you burn your hand on a hot stove, two minutes can feel like two hours.”
…I’m getting off track. Already!!
I’ve lost the Relativity and gone off on Opposites.
Okay, note to self:
In the future, do NOT WRITE BLOGS only a few hours after a brain attack.
Did I mention that?? Yup. I had a(nother) TIA. Just tonight.
I’m worried. This does not work well with my overall “kick ass and take names” philosophy!
No. Despite the radical cuts and tweaks to my brain nearly ten months ago, still, I am finding I fall under the aegis of “falling on my ass and forgetting names”
So perhaps you can see my fascination with the spectrum of experience, time, and quality.
Despite the pain and suffering of this day, I still feel like I had a great weekend.
In all, that is.
I mean, Saturday was super!
More on that later…
While today has been ez, emotionally, it’s been hell, physically.
Let me show you how, with this handy-dandy Outline.
Symptoms of a Lame Day:
A) My Headache is finally, *just* now, calming down. Amen. (TX Plan: O2 & RX.)
B.) Also? Erm. No stressing, ok?
But I *think* I had a TIA an hour or so ago.
I know I did.
That’d be #4- THIS WEEK!
It’s weird – how 2 minutes can feel like twenty!*
(*Note To Reader: this, BTW, is referencing back to the *Relativity* Dealio. -Now, go take your Ritalin!)
…Time seems to “slow down” during a TIA.
This particular TIA type was unusual.
My symptomatology was different. For one thing???
I had *bilateral* symptoms!
Overall, these were the big Red Flags that told me something was more amiss than usual in my Noggin.
1.) The quality of headache is rare for me: a cluster WITH a “regular” headache layered on top. Owwwwww!
2.) The top half of my head went numb & buzzy & I felt spacey, almost “altered.”
3.) I got this new-ish symptom in my hands, sort of “Phantom Limb” esque.
Say I’ve got a paperback in my left mitt. Suddenly, it will start to feel like I’m holding two *hardcover*
books, instead. Like my hands belong to someone else. Or like I’ve GOT someone ELSE’s hands.
…It’s about space over weight.
About space in time.
Put simply, my hand, or hands, will feel, like something very big has replaced something very small.
Tonight, however, my hands were inert, yet I still got that sensation.
Have a great week!
